GOD KNOWS YOU HAVE IT
BEFORE HE ASKS YOU TO GIVE

By Dr. Mercy Nuamah

On my way to church on that blessed day, I stopped at the ATM to withdraw some money for some needs. I had prepared my offering for that Sunday before hand. As I sat down, I was given an envelope and I quickly slipped it into by bag. During the service, Very Reverend announce that some people have been sent love letters from God that needed response quickly. I did not know I was one of them so I sat unconcerned. As she prayed for the people to be touched to respond, I quickly opened the letter to see what it was.

To my surprise, I was one of the special people the love letter was sent to, and even more surprised when the amount I had taken from the ATM was the money to be seeded for the special blessing.

At first, I thought to myself, OK I will bring it next time since I have just gotten the envelop, but as I continued to read, I realized I had to redeem it right that day. Just then, I heard a still small voice in me, I asked you to withdraw that money for this reason. Surely, God knew what I had in my pocket, and I cannot do otherwise.

The voice continued, I also wanted to save you from embarrassment that is why I directed you to the ATM. You do not need that money today but I knew you have been asked to give for my work and you needed it on you today. I said; yes, Lord.

I was very happy, did not have to give long explanations. God surely provided Himself the lamb before He asked Abraham to make a burnt sacrifice. He is still in the business of providing for his children before asking them to give back to Him in faith.

I learnt that lesson of spontaneous obedience and I am happy whenever I remember that day.

Life is short, Deeds live on - Poem
By Dr. Mercy Nuamah

Life is short, deeds live on.
Do the things you need to live.
Leave your deeds to live for life.
Deeds live on as life goes on.
Life is short, live it well.

Life is short, deeds live on.
Join ideas and make a chain.
Chain of deeds to bridge the world.
Bridge the world and make a change.
Life is short, live it well.

Life is short, deeds live on.
Seek the Lord to change your deeds.
Leave your deeds to change the world.
Change the Lord to live in peace.
Life is short, live it well.
