A. WESLEYAN REVIVAL AND STEWARDSHIP:
* Stewardship was preached and practiced.
* Giving of financial resources was seen as part of the discipline of every member.
* The Classes were forms of this giving.
B. THEOLOGICAL FOUNDATION:
* Psalm 24:1.
* God’s grace as gift.
* God’s grace of abundance.
C. THE PRACTICE OF STEWARDSHIP IN THE WESLEYAN TRADITION:
* Wesley’s fear
* Wesley’s Economic Principles;
. Earn all you can
. Save all you can
. Give all you can
D. THE EXAMPLE OF WESLEY
* Wesley committed himself to a life of simplicity, frugality and generosity.
* He begged for many help the poor.
* He challenged the richer to support the less endowed
III. CONCLUSION
* Let us go back to this Wesleyan Principle
* The future of Methodism depends on our faithful financial Stewardship.
